Confidence is sexy…
In fact, many people would say that confidence is the sexiest quality someone can have…
But confidence fluctuates sometimes, doesn’t it?
Some days you feel like you’re on top of the world…
Like you can achieve anything you set your mind to…
Like your body and mind have aligned into an unbeatable, dynamic duo…
And it’s sexy.
But other days…
Well other days you feel like rolling out of bed is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest…
Confidence?
Forget about it. But the early moments of our day are important…
In fact, I’d say they’re the most important moments for your confidence. They set the tone for your outlook on the day that lies ahead. They “set the sexy” for the 16-hours between sleep.
The bottom line is that looking and feeling confident starts before 9am. And that’s why I created this list for you…
So that you can be your most confident self from morning to evening. Here are 4 ways to boost your confidence before 9am:
“On time” is always the best way to start your day. And this step really starts the night before. If you want to wake up “on time” you need to go to bed at a reasonable time.
Sleep is necessary for your body to function at its best…
So prioritizing sleep is essentially prioritizing sexiness…
But also, research has shown that people who wake up on time are generally happier, healthier, and slimmer than those who hit snooze for an hour.
That’s a threefold confidence booster right there!
Also, waking up on time makes you feel like you have a better handle on the day ahead. You aren’t sitting behind the 8-ball before you’ve even stood up.
And that’s an accomplishment in itself.
So let’s recap: Waking up on time will help you to be happier, healthier, sexier, feel accomplished and because of all this you’ve got a lot to be confident about, sister…
And you’re less than a minute into your day!
After you wake up, make yourself a calming and fat-burning cup of tea, and find your favorite chair to sit in…
Next, get out a sheet of paper, or perhaps even a daily planner and a pen so you can write out a list of things that you want to do today.
Take ten minutes to think about what you need to accomplish and when you’ll accomplish those things. Not only will you feel more confident because you’re “on top” of things, but your mind will feel less scatter brained.
Additionally, a to-do list will protect you from, “Oh no, I completely forgot!” moments and save you from unnecessary stress.
Also, if an unexpected project or proposal pops into existence at some point in the day, you’ll be more prepared to shift your schedule around because you’ll know exactly where you can make a few swaps so that no matter what gets thrown your way you’ll be able to manage it with confidence.
If a certain task needs to be rolled over into the next day, all you have to do is pencil it in so that you don’t go a whole week saying to yourself, “I feel like I’m forgetting something.”
Writing a list will help you feel more in control of the things that you can control which will give you a great confidence boost before 9am.
As a side note, make sure you put some items that you enjoy on your list…
Whether you plot out 15-minutes to read a book before bed, or a movie night with your family, it’s always a good idea to have something to look forward to in your day…
And then put it on your calendar as a priority.
Working out is a great way to naturally boost your confidence. First of all, a good workout is an accomplishment…
When you complete a workout before 9am, you’ve accomplished more in your morning than some people do by mid-afternoon. Also, a University of Florida study concluded that despite any person’s current health, working out improves body image.
Period.
And when you feel great about the way your body looks, your confidence shoots through the roof.
So you can feel confident not only because you accomplished something…
Not only because you worked out…
But also because you’re working to get a body that makes you feel confident…
Smile as often as you can before 9am.
Smile at yourself in the mirror.
Smile at your spouse, at you children, at the neighbors on your way out the door…
Just smile.
Smiling is a powerful tool for feeling happy and confident.
Smiling also exudes confidence to others…
It’s an interesting cycle really…
The more you smile, the more confident you will feel.
And the more confident you feel, the more you’ll smile.
And trust me, everyone will take notice.
I want you to be your most confident self.
Because well, confidence is sexy…
