Getting Bikini Ready Just In Time For Summer

Summer is fast approaching, and we’re all in a panic to shed those holiday pounds. There’s no better time to get started than right now because before you know it, bikini season will be here. While getting significantly slimmer is just a matter of a couple of weeks may sound impossible, you’ll be happy to know that it’s definitely not.

There are some secrets that will forbid the bloating, tone the booty (and all your other muscles), and that will also burn off those fat cells. Follow these simple yet effective tactics, and you’ll be dropping jaws along the shore all season!

Bikini Ready

Forbid the Sodium

Salt is your #1 enemy when it comes to bloating. It’s one of those things that can make you look like a blowfish in a matter of minutes. So, forbid sodium-packed foods, such as all processed foods and unhealthy junk. These are good to avoid regardless of the season, but will definitely get you feeling and looking confident in your bikini.

Avoid the Alcohol

With the summer comes patio days drinking pints of beers and cocktails with your ladies, but alcohol is also a best friend to bloating. When you know you’ll be rocking a bikini soon, just avoid the margaritas for one day. Just one day – that’s all you need to get that bloating down. If you plan on hitting up the sandy shores more than that, you may want to forbid the alcohol for a little bit longer.

Bad Carbs are Bad Friends

Bad carbs are never a good thing to have in the diet. After all, they’re bad carbs! However, this is especially true when the summer months are fast approaching and you want to get in shape as soon as possible. Swap out the unhealthy bread, pasta, and pastries for healthier alternatives such as quinoa, oats and whole-grain pasta to diminish the bloating.

Drink Lots of Water

You’ve heard it time and time again – drink lots of water, and that’s because it is one of the healthiest things you can do. Mind you, you can over hydrate yourself if you go insane with this tip, but that’s fairly hard to do.

Chances are, you aren’t getting enough water, so just drink up. Avoid other liquids, such as juices, coffees, and sodas and stay hydrated instead. This will keep your skin fresh and youthful, and will also keep your metabolism going strong.

Start Moving

So, you’re not a fan of the gym. You’re not alone. It’s definitely recommended to start hitting up the gym, getting gains and moving those hips in a Zumba class, but if that’s not for you, just start moving. Take a longer walk during your lunch break, or dance around the house while you’re getting ready for the day. Anything is better than nothing. So, just start moving!

Do the 20

Another excellent tip to getting bikini-ready is to follow the 20. Do 20 crunches or 20 push-ups. Run for 20 minutes, or do 20 laps in a community swimming pool. Do 20-second planks or 20 minutes of yoga. 20 minutes is all you need, but 20 of anything is good. As mentioned previously, you just need to start moving more than you already do.

Go Raw

An excellent way to detoxify your body and get you bikini ready is to go raw for a day or two. Stock up on some fresh fruits and vegetables, and enjoy the benefits of stomach-flattering fiber – and all the other benefits that follow. Just remember not to crash diet, because that’s never worked long-term for anyone.

Instead, simply incorporate more raw produce into your diet and you’ll be looking fabulous in no time. If you feel like you don’t have enough time to get all of your veggies I highly recommend a drink called Organifi. It’s a green drink that has tons of superfoods in it and tastes great.

Preach the Probiotic

Probiotics are amazing for getting rid of any excess gas or bloating. Some yogurts now advertise having a sufficient amount of Probiotics within them, and there are many other ways to get a healthy dose into your diet. So, preach the Probiotic for less bloating!

Rest and Relaxation

Stress is a huge factor for many things, such as weight gain and a dreary appearance. So, place importance on your sleep and get a sufficient amount every night. After all, it’s not called “beauty sleep” for no reason. Revitalize yourself and your body with at least 7-8 hours of shut-eye each night.

Perfect the Posture

When you slouch, you get rolls. When you straighten up, you can literally look like you lost five pounds. Plus, a bad posture is never recommended for numerous reasons. Stand up straight, sit up straight, walk straight – whatever it is – elongate that spine and you’ll look much more slender.

Lastly, the best bikini-ready tip is to have confidence. Step out on that pool deck or sandy shores with your head held high and your personality shining bright. When you feel great, you look even better. So, rock it! These tips will definitely help you get that confidence back into your strut.
